project goals

Transforming CES.tech into a Premier Consumer Technology Hub

Our goal was to transform CES.tech from a seasonal, static website into a dynamic, data-driven hub, engaging consumer technology enthusiasts throughout the year.

  • Lower bounce rates
  • Increase mobile visitors

key findings

Insights into User Engagement Challenges

Data analysis revealed that high bounce rates were linked to outdated content focused solely on user registration. Users registered once a year, and did not return. Additionally, we identified accessibility and mobile optimization issues, resulting in high bounce rates for mobile users.

proposed solution

A Year Round Pass

We developed a year-round engagement model, segmented into four phases: Pre-Registration (May-Aug.), Registration (Sept.-Nov.), The Show (Dec.-Jan.), and Post-Show (Jan.-Apr.). Our strategy successfully transformed CES.tech into a resourceful hub for technology creators and enthusiasts by:

Phased Engagement Model

We segmented the website’s content strategy into four distinct phases:

Pre-Registration (May-Aug.)

Early bird incentives enticed early sign-ups, while personalized outreach kept attendees engaged. Regular updates with exclusive content and our new loyalty program rewarded attendees to keep engagement high.

Registration (Sept.-Nov.)

Building on user research insights, we proposed a more efficient and personalized CES registration process. Targeted registration questions provided users with tailored recommendations and syncing with users calendars - simplifying planning for every attendee.

The Show (Dec.-Jan.)

Featured live updates, event highlights, and interactive features to engage users in real-time.

Post-Show (Jan.-Apr.)

Offered post-event analysis, downloadable resources, and sneak peeks into the next year’s innovations.

Personalized User Experience

We decided against a native app, choosing instead a responsive, user-centric web platform that adapts to individual needs. Key features included:

'Plan My Show' Tool

Allowed users to customize their event schedules, bookmark sessions, and manage their itineraries with ease.

Role-Based Content Access

Delivered tailored content streams based on user profiles, ensuring relevance and minimizing clutter.

WCAG Level AA Compliant UI

Our component-based design transformed the site into an accessible, virtual personal assistant with essential tools to alleviate the stress of managing the event experience. Providing the confidence that everything is organized and accessible at their fingertips.

Data-Driven Content and Event Recommendations

Implemented sophisticated algorithms to suggest relevant content, events, and networking opportunities, based on user preferences and interactions.
